Say Anything is preparing to head out on the road in support of the 10-year anniversary of In Defense of the Genre. The announcement came shortly after noon on Aug. 22 and for the tour, Say Anything has a special treat lined up. The band will play three different records over the course of two nights throughout 19 cities total. AXS has tickets here.

The tour will begin on Nov. 25 in Phoenix, Ariz. and will travel from coast to coast hitting cities like West Hollywood, Seattle, Detroit, Orlanda and Boston. The In Defense Anniversary Tour runs into the new year concluding on Jan. 30 and Jan. 31 in Dallas, Texas. Tickets for the events go on sale to the general public on Friday, Aug. 25 at noon local time.

In Defense of the Genre began in 2006 while Say Anything was on tour promoting the reissue of ...Is a Real Boy and focused on observations of other people. Boy described frontman Max Bemis' problems and Defense picked up where Bemis left off in his life. For the recording, Bemis brought in 23 unique artists and musicians to partake in the project including Adam Lazzara of Taking Back Sunday, Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and Hayley Williams of Paramore. The record would debut at No. 27 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart selling 25,000 copies in its first week.
