Popular indie pop band, The xx, is debuting an exciting new indie project in the form of a music tour documentary. The name of the film is “We See You Berlin.” The UK three-piece band produced the film to give honor and recognition to their loyal fans around the world. They also created the film to celebrate their affinity for the city of Berlin, a place they are endeared to.
The film shows reality footage including one-on-one conversations with fans and a variety of real moments with the band behind the scenes on the road. Some of the footage was filmed during their popular live concert tour in Berlin as part of the band’s “I See You” concert tour. Other footage includes interviews with fans, along with clips of their appearance at Lollapalooza. This project is the first documentary of its kind by the popular ensemble. Berlin filmmaker Sylvie Weber directed the project. The film is part of a new series of documentaries the band is scheduled to produce.
