Seu Jorge expands ‘Life Aquatic’ Bowie tribute tour

Brazilian singer Seu Jorge has expanded his tribute to late star David Bowie with his 'Life Aquatic' Bowie tribute tour beginning in June 2017, with dates running through Oct. 2017. Of all the tributes to the late icon, who died on Jan. 8, 2016, his songs sung in Portuguese accompanied by acoustic guitar may be the most unique.

Seu Jorge is a singer/actor who has appeared in a number of films, including 2004's 'The Aquatic Life of Steve Zissou," according to IMDB. The Brazilian singer started his tour in 2016 and has since been touring in North America and Europe, according to the listing of events on the Seu Jorge Facebook page.

“Had Seu Jorge not recorded my songs in Portuguese, I would never have heard this new level of beauty which he has imbued them with,” Bowie has previously stated.
