Shamrock Fighting Championships is going all-out for its 300th MMA show. The event, scheduled for Dec. 1 at St. Louis' River City Casino, will be a celebration of the promotion's past and a glimpse into the future -- with a smattering of A-list stars expected to be in attendance.
"There will be all kinds of surprises and celebrities at the event," Shamrock FC play-by-play announcer Jeremy Johnson told AXS of the historic celebration. "We are going to be upping our production level even more for show No. 300. We definitely plan on leaving the fans in awe after this event!"
Shamrock FC, a Missouri-based promotion, has been instrumental in developing talent for larger organizations over the past few years. Several Bellator and UFC vets got their start competing under the Shamrock FC banner, including Justin "The American Kid" Lawrence, Rebecca Ruth, Corbin Howard, Zak Bucia and Bobby Brents. Additionally, Joaquin Buckley was a standout in the Shamrock FC organization.
"We have a great relationship with Bellator," Johnson said. 'We are the only organization that has champions that get offered a four-fight contract in Bellator if they win our belt and defend it."
Shamrock FC president Jesse Finney and matchmaker Rob Donaker have been doing all the behind the scenes work since the promotion's inaugural event. Their work ethic and relentless approach has been the driving force for the organization through the years.
"Every show they have put together tries to top the rest," Johnson explained. "We have always made sure to leave the fans wanting more, not only from the fights but also from the atmosphere of an event.
"Making it this far has been an amazing ride. I have been in the broadcast chair since the first live PPV and I can’t wait to see where this takes us. We have just recently signed a television deal and looking to expand that." Tickets for Shamrock FC 300, priced from $50-$150, can be scooped up at the promotion's online store.
