Smokey Robinson coming to Dallas for a special concert in September

American R&B singer Smokey Robinson is currently out on a tour of the United States and will be heading to Dallas later in 2017. Robinson will be playing in concert at the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie on Friday, Sept. 29. Tickets are on sale now and are available right here on AXS.

Smokey Robinson has released five albums since 2000, with his most recent release, 2014’s Smokey & Friends, the most successful in recent years, hitting second on the R&B Charts and 12th on the Billboard 200. That album saw the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member teaming with names like Elton John, Steven Tyler, Jessie J, John Legend, Cee Lo Green, James Taylor and Sheryl Crow, among others.

Most recently, Smokey Robinson was awarded the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize in 2016 for his contributions to the music industry. Robinson, 77, is touring the country performing some of his best hits with songs that remain as popular now as they were when he originally released them.

Tickets for the Smokey Robinson Dallas concert are on sale through AXS. Prices for this huge concert at the Verizon Theatre at Grand Prairie on Sept. 29 range from $39.75 up to $119.75. There is no opening act and the doors open at 7 p.m. with the concert starting at 8 p.m.
