The 2017 Billboard Awards will be held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on May 21, 2017. Tickets to the event will go on sale on March 22, 2017, so snag your tickets to see some of the hottest names in music live and in person.

The Billboard charts have been the go-to guide for ranking popularity of artists, albums and songs since 1940s according to an announcement about the awards from Billboard. The awards show will be broadcast live on ABC, but you experience the event and see the celebrities live in Vegas.  

There is no further information about which artists will be attending or performing now, but details will be forthcoming in the future. Nominees for the BBMAs have not been announced, but the list is bound to feature an array of artists in all genres of music.  

Taylor Swift holds the record for winning the most Billboard Awards, with a total of 21, including 2016’s top touring artist. Following Swift on the list of all time winners is country star Garth Brooks (19), Usher (18), Adele (18), Whitney Houston (16), Justin Bieber (15), Mariah Carey (14), R. Kelly (12), and Rihanna (12), according to Billboard’s list of all-time winners from 1990-2016.

Nicki Minaj now tops the list of Billboard Hot 100 Hits for female artists, with a total of 76 chart toppers, according to a March 20, 2017 article on EW. The “Anaconda” singer was tied with the previous list topper Aretha Franklin with 73 hits, but she jumped to the top with three hit collaborations with Drake and Lil Wayne. Franklin has top billing on each of her 73 of her entries, while Minaj has top billing on 32 of her entries and is a featured artist on the remaining 44.

The current Billboard top 100 songs list is topped by Ed Sheeran’s “The Shape of You”  and Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like.” They are followed by Migos Featuring Lil Uzi Ver’s “Bad And Boujee,” Zayn and Taylor Swift’s “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker),” and The Weeknd Featuring Daft Punk’s “I Feel It Coming.”
