Snarky Puppy announces spring tour dates to support ‘upcoming record’

New York-based jam band Snarky Puppy has shared their touring plans for the coming year with 25 new headlining concert dates announced earlier this week. The band which mixes both jazz and rock elements into their signature sound will begin their 2019 tour campaign on May 10 in Rhode Island and continue playing throughout much of the spring and into early summer before wrapping with a hometown show at New York City’s Brooklyn Steel on June 15.

The tour starts out in the northeast U.S. with scheduled stops in Portsmouth, Boston and Buffalo before they head west across the northern Midwest in cities including Cleveland, Chicago, St. Louis and St. Paul towards the latter half of May. The band will continue heading west as they charge into the summer month of June with shows in Los Angeles, San Diego and Salt Lake City before stopping in Colorado for a gig at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in support of Michael Franti & Spearhead on June 7. The final stretch of the tour will see them heading back east and making stops in Memphis and Washington, DC before wrapping in front of their hometown fans in Brooklyn.

The band’s announcement on Wednesday also revealed that the spring tour will be followed by a second U.S. tour, although fans should assume it will take place at some point in the second half of the year with dates to be announced sometime after or during their initial 2019 concert campaign.

Snarky Puppy has yet to release a new album since Family Dinner – Volume 2 and Culcha Vulcha both arrived back in 2016.

Tickets to select shows on the band’s 2019 tour will be going on sale to the public starting tomorrow, Nov. 30, and can be purchased by clicking here.
