Rapper-turned-television chef Snoop Dogg has announced the upcoming release of his first-ever cookbook when “From Crook to Cook” arrives on Oct. 23 via Chronicle Books. The announcement from the famous 46-year-old rapper, actor and musical personality on Wednesday should come as no surprise, as Snoop has become somewhat of a culinary expert since teaming up with Martha Stewart for their recent cooking show, “Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party.”
According to its pre-order page on Amazon, “From Crook to Cook” will include a total of 50 recipes from Snoop’s own personal collection, with tasty meals ranging from Mac & Cheese, Easy Orange Chicken and Fried Bologna Sandwiches with Chips, to “Billionaire’s Bacon” and “OG Chicken and Waffles.” Remember this is Snoop Dogg we’re talking about, and no cookbook of his will be complete without some cannabis-fueled snack suggestions with the “OG Munchies Chip Roundup” to some sugary fresh “Bow Wow Brownies and Ice Cream.” What are the odds that Snoop also throws in some suggestions for his favorite “Gin & Juice” recipes in the refreshments chapter of the book? Sadly there will be no actual cannabis-infused recipes in this book, but just wait for volume two!
“You know it’s blazin’ up in my kitchen,” Snoop added in a statement about his culinary project. “I’m takin’ the cookbook game higher with a dipped and whipped collection of my favorite recipes, ya dig?”
The upcoming release of the 192-page book follows in the footsteps of fellow artists like 2Chainz, Questlove and Morrissey, who have all dished out some of their go-to recipes for their fans to enjoy while listening to their music. “Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party” television show on Vh1 earned an Emmy nomination in 2017 in the “Host for a Reality/Reality-Competition Program” category.
