Song Premiere: Listen to Dustin Thomas' new politically charged song 'Hard Times'

Singer and songwriter Dustin Thomas is all about peace, love, and understanding. He creates anthems of love and war that are reminiscent of the protest anthems of the 60s. This time, he’s teamed up with AXS to premiere his new single “Hard Times.”  Described as a wake-up track for society, Thomas examines the anger and political strife happening in the world and asks “Doesn’t anybody here think we can do better than this?” One part of the song finds Thomas singing "If the world is such a dangerous place/then I look danger in the face/A protector of the waters and a steward of the land." Listen to the track below.

The song comes from Thomas’ new EP, Nation of Truth. Previously, he shared the title track from the new release. In support of the EP, Thomas is heading out on tour supporting John Butler Trio. The Nation of Truth tour kicks off this Friday, Nov. 16 in Washington, D.C. and will swing through New York, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, and New Orleans. The trek wraps up Dec. 15 in Oakland, California. Tickets are on sale now. See all the tour dates below.
