St. Lucia will be giving fans a more intimate experience this go around as the band has announced their new "Intimate & Acoustic" Tour for 2019. The tour is set to kick off May 7 at Neumos in Seattle, Washington and will visit more cities across the U.S. including Los Angeles, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Washington DC, and Boston before concluding May 22 at the Irving Plaza in New York. Tickets for the intimate affairs are on sale now with a couple of shows being available to purchase through AXS. See the full list of tour dates below.
The band recently announced that they will be releasing an EP appropriately titled Acoustic Vol. 1, set to be released in April. The seven-track EP will include songs from their latest LP Hyperion and crowd pleasers "Elevate" and "All Eyes on You." Frontman Jean-Philip Grobler stated that Hyperion "is a record that's searching, inquisitive and culturally current while also sonically brimming with positivity, dance and funk. Imagine a politicized Daft Punk, or a theological Phoenix..." He continues to say It's an avant-garde pop album that makes you think. The EP also includes a cover of “TOOTIMETOOTIMETOOTIME” by The 1975 and two new versions of “Love Somebody,” a Portuguese version and one featuring bandmate Patti Beranek as the lead singer, her first track to do so.
