Whenever singer-songwriter St. Vincent performs, she pulls you into the song she's singing, keeps you there for a while, then gently releases you back into the world to ponder what just happened. That might've been the experience for a lot of viewers watching the talented songstress perform her song "New York" on the “Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Wednesday (Oct. 4).

She brought loads of confidence to the performance with polished vocals and a cool background display of a giant face. Her piano player wore a ski mask to add to the uniqueness of the presentation. St. Vincent wore an eye-catching outfit too, which made her look part old-time movie star and part rock star, two looks that worked brilliantly together.

Just a couple of days ago, the singer released a provocative video for the song “Los Ageless” off her forthcoming album MASSEDUCTION, due out Oct. 13.

Check out St. Vincent's flawless performance above and grab tickets here to her upcoming shows at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on Nov. 28 and King Theatre in Brooklyn on Dec. 2 and Dec. 3.
