Reggae artist Stephen "Raggamuffin" Marley wants to shine a positive light on kaya (Jamaican slang for marijuana) using the tools he knows best: music, art, and community. The six-time Grammy award winner (and son of Bob) has masterminded a brand new festival in Miami, described as "A Concert Promoting Cannabis Education Before Recreation." The lineup features Stephen, Ziggy, Damian & Ky-Mani Marley, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Sean Paul, Wyclef Jean, Inner Circle, Jo Mersa Marley, Skip Marley and Shacia Payne.
The first annual Kaya Fest willl take place on Saturday, April 22 at Bayfront Park Amphitheater in Miami, a state which recently legalized medical marijuana. The festival will educate attendees on the numerous benefits of the the Cannabis plant through music, discussion and art.
