Streetlight Manifesto will bring its Somewhere In Between tour to Royal Oak Music Theatre at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15. The third wave ska punk outfit will be joined by special guest Jenny Owen Youngs.
Somewhere in the Between, Streetlight Manifesto’s third studio long-player, will celebrate its 10th anniversary this fall. The album landed at No. 2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart, following its November 2007 release via Victory Records. It features the singles “We Will Fall Together,” “Down, Down, Down to Mephisto’s Cafe,” and “Would You Be Impressed?”
To mark the occasion, the band will perform the Somewhere in the Between in its entirety from front to back on tour, along with career-spanning fan favorites.
The Hands That Thieve, Streetlight Manifesto’s most recent full-length, dropped in April 2013 following several push backs from now ex-label Victory Records. The album, anchored by lead single “The Three of Us,” debuted at No. 95 on the Billboard 200.
Also on the bill is Jenny Owen Youngs, a New Jersey-based singer-songwriter who has previously performed alongside the likes of Against Me!, Motion City Soundtrack, Regina Spektor, Aimee Mann, and Frank Turner. The independent recording artist has released three albums, most recently An Unwavering Band of Light in February 2012. Youngs is also known as a songwriter who has collaborated with Ingrid Michaelson, Pitbull, Bo Talks and more.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased here at AXS.com. This is an all ages event. Royal Oak Music Theatre is located at 318 West 4th Street in downtownRoyal Oak, Mich. For more information, visit Streetlight Manifesto’s website, Jenny Owen Youngs’ website, and Royal Oak Music Theatre’s website.
