Styx, REO Speedwagon, Don Felder team up for huge classic rock concert in Dallas

Some of classic rocks most beloved acts are hitting the road together this summer as Styx, REO Speedwagon, and former Eagles guitarist Don Felder will join forces on the United We Rock tour. The three bands will hit Dallas for a special concert on July 30 at the Starplex. Tickets go on sale Feb. 25.

Headliners on this concert will rotate and all the bands are familiar with each other. Styx and REO Speedwagon have actually toured together three times before in 2009, 2012, and 2013. In January, Styx and Don Felder worked together for five nights at the Venetian in Las Vegas.

Styx has eight top 10 singles over their career and 16 total that hit the top 40. They had one number one hit with “Babe” in 1979. REO Speedwagon was popular in the same era and had 13 top 40 hits with “Keep On Loving You,” “Take it on the Run,” and “Can’t Fight this Feeling” all hitting number one. The Eagles, of course, are one of the bestselling bands of all time and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members.

The icons of rock will only hit Texas for two shows. They will play in Houston on July 29 and then move on into Dallas on July 30.

Tickets for the Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Deon Felder concert go on sale on Feb 25 here. Prices for the concert start out at $27.50 for general admission lawn seats and $99.50 for reserved seats.
