Summerfest 50 to be streamed by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

"Jimmy Kimmel Live" will be streaming Summerfest 50, “The World’s Largest Music Festival,” according to an announcement made on April 10, 2017. The festival will take place at Henry Meier Festival Park in Milwaukee, Wisc. Summerset 50 will be held June 28-July 2 and July 4-9, 2017. This will be a big year because it will be the 50th anniversary of Summerfest, which debuted in 1968.

The popular summer festival will feature over 800 acts, totaling over 1,000 performances over the multi-day event. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" will have exclusive rights to stream the festival online, so the great variety of festival music will be available for music fans who will not be able to visit the festival in person. Music from Summerfest 50 will stream around the globe, so millions of people around the world can enjoy the event.

The schedule of streaming will be announced at a future date. Many of the main headliners at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater have been announced. In addition, several ground stage acts were announced on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on ABC, along with a performance by The Shins.  

The lineup of headliners at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater will include: Red Hot Chili Peppers on June 28; Luke Bryan and  Brothers Osborne on June 29; Zac Brown Band on July 1; Pink on July 2; The Chainsmokers on July 4;  Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers with Special Guest Chris Stapleton on July 5 & 6; Dierks Bentley featuring Joe Pardi and Cole Swindell on July 7; Future, Big Sean & Migos on July 8; and the ‘Outlaw Music Festival’ featuring Willie Nelson & His Family, Bob Dylan & His Band, Sheryl Crow, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Margo Price, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit on July 9.
