Switchfoot, Relient K to bring Looking For America Tour to Rochester

Switchfoot and Relient K will bring their Looking For America Tour to the Voller Athletic Center at Roberts Wesleyan College at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18.

Switchfoot, a chart-topping, multi-platinum selling, Grammy-winning act featuring Jon Foreman (lead vocals, guitar), Tim Foreman (bass, backing vocals), Chad Butler (drums), Jerome Fontamillas (keyboard, synthesizers, rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Drew Shirley (lead guitar, backing vocals), is out on the road promoting their 10th studio album, Where the Light Shines Through. The album, released in July 2016 through Vanguard Records and Concord Music Group, was recorded with longtime producer John Fields (The Beautiful Letdown, Nothing Is Sound) in San Diego, Calif. When the Light Shines Through rose to No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and spawned three singles: “Live It Well,” “Float,” and “I Won’t Let You Go.”

The California-based band is best known for the smash hits “Meant to Live” and “Dare You to Move.”

Relient K, a Grammy-nominated alt-rock and pop punk outfit featuring Matt Thiessen (lead vocals, piano, rhythm guitar) and Matt Hoopes (lead guitar, backing vocals), along with touring musicians Dave Douglas (drums, backing vocals), Tom Breyfogle (bass, backing vocals), and Josh Sudduth (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), are touring in continued support of eighth studio album, Air for Free. The album, produced by former dc Talk guitarist Mark Lee Townsend, was released in July 2016 via Mono vs Stereo. Air for Free reached No. 44 on the Billboard 200 and features lead single, “Bummin.”

“Be My Escape” and “Who I Am Hates Who I’ve Become” are two of the Ohio duo’s fan favorite tracks.
