Syd from the Internet maps out fall solo tour

On Aug. 23, The Internet frontwoman Syd announced on Twitter that she’ll be touring North America later this fall. The singer-songwriter-producer will be playing shows at venues in Atlanta, New York, Washington D.C., Boston, Baltimore, Detroit, Minneapolis, Houston, Dallas, Seattle, San Diego, Las Vegas and San Francisco’s iconic Regency Ballroom. Tickets for the Always Never Home tour are on sale now.

Syd will also be performing at this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival. As such, she’ll be sharing a bill be sharing with pop musical luminaries like songstress Lana Del Rey, rapper Kid Cudi, R&B superstar Solange and Australian EDM producer Alison Wonderland. She’ll also reunite with her erstwhile Odd Future members Tyler, The Creator, Domo Genesis and Earl Sweatshirt.

Although only 25-years-old, the recording artist born Sydney Bennett has already had an incredibly interesting and varied career. Syd got her start in music in the late 2000s as rap collective Odd Future’s resident producer and audio engineer. In 2011, she branched out to form a trip-hop and alternative soul band called The Internet. In February of this year, Syd again switched things up by releasing Fin, a solo record that explores quiet storm and neo soul soundscapes.
