"Delicate" is the fourth single from Swift's Reputation album. It follows tracks like "Look What You Made Me Do," "...Ready for It?" and "End Game." Out of the four songs, "Delicate" is her most pure pop release. She penned it with frequent collaborators Max Martin and Shellback. Lofty beats and dreamy synths back Taylor easing back into love with the guy of her eye. "Just think of the fun things we could do 'cause I like you," she sings. "Delicate" is an absolute delight that carefully treads between the fun and fragility of a blossoming romance.
Swift debuted the music video for "Delicate" at this year's iHeartRadio Music Awards. Joseph Kahn, the guy behind her big videos like "Bad Blood" and "Look What You Made Me Do," directed the cute clip. He shot Taylor dancing through L.A.'s Millennium Biltmore Hotel that's seen Britney Spears and Janet Jackson bust moves in its hallways in the early 2000s for "Overprotected" and "Son of a Gun" respectively. When Swift finds that she is invisible to her overprotective team, the singer-songwriter rips off the lower section of her dress and has a ball in the lobby, the subway and raining city streets.
"Delicate" is now available on iTunes and Apple Music. Reputation debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last year. Swift will kick off the Reputation Stadium Tour in Glendale, Ariz. on May 8.
