Taylor Swift surprises UK fan not once, but twice

Taylor Swift made a U.K. super fan named Lara’s dream come true in good fashion when she joined her Instagram live stream and then hand-delivered a swag bag filled with Reputation merchandise directly to her door a few days later. The young teen was stunned when she saw Swift's name pop up on her Instagram live feed. She burst into tears and then thanked Swift saying, “I have to say thank you for everything. You’ve actually made my life so much better.”

The bubbly young teen had no idea what was coming next when Taylor’s fan club, Taylor Nation, contacted her and said Swift would be sending her a package. In a follow-up post uploaded yesterday (Oct. 11), Lara explained how she sat perched at her window, waiting for her package to arrive, then a car pulled up, a boy got out and then a “blonde goddess” stepped out of the car and they both knocked on her door.

Lara was shaking as she relayed the story, a number “13” proudly displayed on her hand, which she clamped at least once over her mouth. She gushed, “I’ve just met the woman who made the biggest impact on my life and I was able to thank her.” Swift sweetly said, “Hi Buddy” when they met. They talked about her 1989 track “How You Get the Girl” and Swift’s upcoming sixth studio album, Reputation. The “Look What You Made Me Do” singer gave Lara an array of Reputation t-shirts including a long sleeve black tee with the album release date on the sleeve, which says “10-11-17” (Nov. 10 for the album’s American release).

The “Shake It Off” singer is known for dropping huge surprise bombshells on her fans. She monitors many social media sites, which she lovingly calls “Tay-Lurking,” and then zeroes in on an unsuspecting fan to surprise. She hosted 1989 listening parties for select fans in her homes across the country before the Grammy-winning album's 2014 official release. She’s popped in at weddings, bought and personally wrapped Christmas presents for fans – some of which contained her own jewelry, and she even contributed to a fan’s college tuition.

It’s great to see this kind of unbridled joy on the face of this devoted U.K. Swiftie, who probably couldn’t have staged this sort of spontaneous fairy tale meeting in her wildest dreams. Swift has already enjoyed massive success with Reputation’s lead single, “Look What You Made Me Do” and it’s brilliantly-executed music video. She smashed sales and YouTube records. Plus, she’s given fans multiple behind-the-scenes looks at the making of the video, showing off her zombie transformation, how the Taylor mountain was constructed and more.

It’s safe to say this cute British fan won’t likely stop smiling for a long time to come. Swift posed with her in at least one shot Lara posted on Instagram. Swift also surprised her fan base at large by recently announcing the impending release of The Swift Life app, which is due out later this year. It’s going to be fun to see what other surprises Swift has in store for her fans once Reputation officially drops. Stay tuned to AXS for Taylor Swift news and updates.
