Tennis extend North American tour into the winter

The husband-and-wife indie pop duo known as Tennis will be staying out on the road throughout the fall and into the new year. Announced on Tuesday, the band will set off on a North American tour starting Nov. 13 in Albuquerque, NM and ending a little over a month into the new year with the last scheduled show taking place at Emo’s in Austin, TX on Feb. 3.The Denver band have spent much of their spring and summer already performing across the country in support of their latest album Yours Conditionally, which was released back on March 10.

Tennis, made up of Alaina Moore and Patrick Riley, announced their fall/winter tour a day before wrapping up their August run supporting The Shins and Father John Misty. Their upcoming tour will now see them stepping into the headlining position, which is one they should handle with ease. Notable stops on the tour include shows at Los Angeles’ Fonda Theatre on Nov. 16, the new Brooklyn Steel on Jan. 23 and a homecoming show at Denver’s Ogden Theatre on Jan. 6.

“I love the Denver music scene. Denver is my home, and when I’m there I am not a Denver musician, I am just the girl who used to wait tables and go to the Larimer Lounge and Hi-Dive for shows," Moore told AXS back in April during an interview at Coachella, where the band was performing. "When I’m home I’m home and it’s even weird to think of myself as like an ambassador and it’s crazy to think that.”

They also took the time to share their latest single on Tuesday with a new track titled "No Exit," and can be heard in the clip above.

Tickets to select shows on Tennis’ upcoming tour, including their Denver show, will be going on sale this Friday, Aug. 25, and can be purchased by clicking here.
