The Colorado Symphony Orchestra to play Mozart's 'Jupiter' and Holst's 'The Planets' for cosmic night at Red R

While the Colorado Symphony Orchestra often backs up big rock acts at Red Rocks, the acclaimed orchestra won’t have to share the spotlight with anyone when they head to the famed venue to play the music of one of the most famous composers of all time. Conducted by Christopher Dragon, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra will be treating classical music fans to a beautiful night of Mozart and more on Thursday, June 29.

The orchestra will be playing Mozart’s epic swan song Symphony No. 41, otherwise known as the "Jupiter Symphony" as well as his “Magic Flute Overture.” As a special treat the orchestra will also nod to English composer Gustav Holst, playing his most famous composition, The Planets.
