The Horrors to host two record release shows at Rough Trade in Brooklyn

Why throw one concert to celebrate the release of a new album when you could throw two? That’s the idea that London-based rock band The Horrors had in mind when scheduling a pair of concerts at Brooklyn’s Rough Trade on Sept. 18 and 19. Two nights should be enough time to celebrate the release of their fifth studio album, V.

The upcoming album is set for a Sept. 22 release via Wolf Tone and Caroline International. For their first full-length release since 2014’s Luminous, the indie rock group teamed up with Adele and Rihanna producer Paul Epworth, who took home a Grammy Award earlier this year for his work on Adele’s record-breaking 25 LP. This is the first time the band has worked with such an accomplished producer in the Top 40/Pop world, indicating the garage rock group is looking to take their sound in a more commercial direction.

The album’s lead single, “Machine,” was released back on June 13 and can be heard in the video above. The pair of Brooklyn shows fall right in between the band’s huge European and UK tour, which started on July 11 and will run until Dec. 16. The two shows at Rough Trade also look to be their only North American shows until the end of 2017.

Tickets for the two concerts will be going on sale tomorrow, July 14, and can be purchased by clicking here.
