The Killers will play NYC's Terminal 5 to celebrate release of 'Wonderful Wonderful'

The Killers are currently getting ready to release their fifth studio album titled Wonderful Wonderful on Sept. 22, and it now looks like they’ll be celebrating with a concert at New York City’s Terminal 5 that same night as well. Announced on Thursday morning, the relatively smaller venue in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York should be the perfect, more intimate spot for their fans to come rock out to some brand new songs from the Vegas rock group.

The upcoming concert should act as a warm-up for the album's promotional North American tour, which starts early on in the new year on Jan. 5 in Toronto. The band will be back in New York City four shows into their 2018 North American winter run, except they’ll be across the river in Brooklyn at the much larger Barclays Center on Jan. 9.

Since Wonderful Wonderful was officially announced back in late July, the band has since released its first three singles with “The Man,” “Run For Cover” and most recently the album’s title track back on Aug. 24. A new music video for “The Man” was shared back on Aug. 22 and was centered around the Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor super-fight, as the event took place in their own hometown of Las Vegas, NV.

The band also made headlines recently when it was revealed that two of their original members in Mark Stoermer and Dave Keuning would not be joining the tour when it kicks off in January. There’s been no word on whether they’ll be playing the one-off album release concert at Terminal 5 on Sept. 22, but fans should have their fingers crossed just in case.

Tickets for the newly announced New York City show will be going on sale starting Friday, Sept. 8, and can be purchased by clicking here.
