The Lonely Island--the guys who brought you classic SNL Digital Shorts like “Lazy Sunday” and “I’m on A Boat” as well as funny flicks like “Hot Rod” and “Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping”--are performing a live concert for the first time. The comedy trio, consisting of SNL alums Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone, is set to headline Comedy Central’s upcoming Clusterfest (June 1-3) in San Francisco alongside Jon Stewart, Amy Schumer and Trevor Noah. The fellas recently led the trippy preview video for this landmark comedy event. You can check it out above.
While the trio has performed individual songs live before, they have yet to do an entire concert. But it’s about time. Since joining SNL, Lonely Island has amassed at least a set’s worth of music comedy gold. The Bay Area is also a good place for their first ever concert as it will be a hometown show of sorts as Lonely Island hail from Berkeley, California.
The predominantly comedic festival will also see performances by musical comedian Reggie Watts as well as music from Action Bronson, Third Eye Blind and Salt-N-Pepa. You can check out the entire lineup below.
