The National announces new album 'I Am Easy To Find' and companion short film
The National

The National has announced their new album, I Am Easy To Find, out May 17 on 4AD. They also shared the opening track “You Had Your Soul With You” featuring the vocals from longtime David Bowie collaborator Gail Ann Dorsey. Listen to the track above.

The band also teamed up with director Mike Mills for a companion short film with the same name inspired by the album and stars Alicia Vikander. More film details to be released at a later date. Mills, along with the band, is credited as co-producer of the album.  Pre-order the album here.

The National will also embark on an extensive world tour in support of the new album. Shows start June 11 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and will make stops in Chicago, Atlanta, Washington, and Portland. The trek concludes Sept. 11 in Houston, Texas. Courtney Barnett and Alvvways will play on select dates. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. local time. Check out the dates below.

Before that, The National will play a series of intimate shows starting in April. Dubbed “A Very Special Evening with The National,” the band will perform in Paris, London, New York, Toronto, and Los Angeles.  They’ll also play a string of festival dates this summer. Find those dates here.
