In April of 2016, '80s icon Prince left us for the Little Red Corvette in the sky, dashing the dreams of millions of his fans who were foolish enough to miss seeing him in concert. This May, Prince fans in Denver can rub a little balm on that wound when the tribute band The Purple Xperience comes to Red Rocks Amphitheatre.
Hailing from Prince's hometown of Minneapolis, MN, The Purple Xperience will perform at the legendary venue on Thursday, May 10. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday, Jan. 12; get yours right here on AXS.com.
The Purple Xperience is widely considered to be the greatest Prince tribute act, thanks in large part to the group's direct connection to the late star. Frontman and multi-instrumentalist Marshall Charloff played with Prince on his album 94 East and many members of the group were either directly or tangentially involved with Prince's backing band The New Power Generation.
True to their name, The Purple Xperience will bring both the sound and unmistakable look of Prince to the stage. Given the rapturous response to the local Prince tribute held two years ago, Denver should be ready to go crazy right along with them.
