It's time to throw on those dancing shoes, everyone! Beloved NYC dance-punk band The Rapture have announced their return after ending things back in 2013.
On April 30, the group will be reuniting inside Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg, which is where the band had their final show six years ago. This evening will find them being joined by Seedy Films with a solo performance by vocalist Luke Jenner.
Tickets for this performance will go on sale to the general public this Friday (Feb. 8) at 10 a.m. EST.
Forming in 1998, The Rapture gained a fanbase internationally with their singles "House of Jealous Lovers," "Get Myself Into It," and "Whoo! Alright — Yeah... Uh Huh." Their music has been featured in a slew of video games, including Madden 2007 and Tales from the Borderlands.
Following the band's split, drummer Vito Roccoforte and keyboardist Gabriel Andruzzi collaborated on two occasions under the monikers Vito & Druzzi and Mother of Mars. Last year, Roccoforte and former bassist Mattie Safer reunited as part of Poolside's new live band. Jenner unveiled music of his own under the moniker Meditation Tunnel.
The Rapture's last studio album was 2011's In the Grace of Your Love.
