Blitzen Trapper is out on the road showcasing selections from their forthcoming ninth studio long-player, Wild and Reckless, which is scheduled for release on Nov. 3 on the band’s own label LidKerCow. The 12-track folk and country-rock collection was preceded by the single “Rebel.”
Earlier this year, Wild Mountain National, Blitzen Trapper’s critically acclaimed third LP, celebrated its 10th anniversary. The album was released in June 2007 via Sub Pop Records and is anchored by its title track.
Opening the show will be Lilly Hiatt, a Nashville, Tennessee-based singer-songwriter. Hiatt is on the road promoting her third LP, Trinity Lane, which emerged back in August on New West Records. The album, named after the street where Hiatt once lived, was produced by musician Michael Trent of Shovels & Rope. It includes standout tracks like “Everything I Had,” “Different, I Guess,” “The Night David Bowie Died,” and “I Wanna Go Home.”
Earlier this year, Hiatt released two singles with singer-songwriter/guitarist Aaron Lee Tasjan (“Dublin Blues” and “Angel from Montgomery”) as part of Third Man Records’ Luck Mansion Sessions. She previously released albums Let Down (2012) and Royal Blue (2015) via Normaltown.
Tickets ($20 in advance, $22 day of show) are available here at AXS.com. Doors open at 8 p.m. for the 18 and over event. The Sinclair is located at 52 Church Street in Cambridge, Massachusetts. For more information, visit Blitzen Trapper’s website, Lilly Hiatt’s website, and The Sinclair’s website.
