The holiday season will officially kick off when “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” by Susan Chambers Dance Company comes to the Infinity Energy Theater in Atlanta on Nov. 21. Based on Charles Dickens’ classic tale, “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” will be a full-length Broadway musical production with beautiful music, huge dance numbers, a live orchestra, hundreds of costumes and exceptional sets. The audience will feel they have been transported to NYC's Madison Square Garden, where the musical has become a holiday tradition.
The musical was created by the late Tony Award-winning husband-wife team of Mike Ockrent and Susan Stroman, who mentored Susan Chambers and gave her a start on Broadway, according to Suwanee Magazine.
“A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens is a well-known and popular holiday story featuring the miser Ebenezer Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Tiny Tim, and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future. The family-friendly music will entertain children and adults with imaginative, colorful characters, along with beautiful music and graceful dance.
There will be two performances of “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” at Infinite Energy Theater on Nov. 17, at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets have sold out in the past, so order tickets early to enjoy the holiday magic of this 19th-century story of redemption. Tickets will be available on AXS.
