Third Eye Blind is not only finishing 2018 on the road, but they're planning a 2019 tour, too. The band unveiled almost a dozen new shows on their website Thursday, and fans can get tickets to some of the best dates on their upcoming tour through AXS.
The San Francisco-based rockers are currently celebrating their 25th year as a band. Since 1993, they've kept audiences grooving with pop-rock hits like "Semi-Charmed Life" and "How's It Going To Be." But this fall, they also demonstrated their ability to come up with interesting covers, releasing an EP called Thanks For Everything that consisted entirely of their versions of songs by some of the band's favorite artists. You can watch Third Eye Blind's very sparse video for "Blood Bank" by playing the video above.
While all their tour dates are worth seeing, three of them will hold special significance for Third Eye Blind fans. Lead singer Stephan Jenkins made a Facebook post this week saying that the band is using select tour dates to try out some of their new material for live audiences before they go into the studio to record their next album. That means people at these shows will be the first to hear new Third Eye Blind music, and AXS has tickets to two of those shows plus a holiday performance.
Third Eye Blind will be at Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California on Dec. 14 as part of the 91X WREX The Halls holiday concert. Tickets for that event are on sale now through the AXS event page and priced from $50.00 to $95.00.
They'll headline shows throughout December and into January when they'll start revealing new music. That includes Jan. 14 at The Roxy in West Hollywood, California; fans can get tickets to that concert at the AXS event page starting Nov. 9 at 10 a.m. local time. VIP meet and greet packages, which include a chance to meet Third Eye Blind, take an individual photo with the band, and a commemorative guitar string bracelet, are on sale here.
Another show where Third Eye Blind will be showcasing new songs is Jan. 16 at Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, NY. Tickets go on sale at the same time through this AXS event page, and VIP packages are available here.
Whether you're a music fan who fondly remembers Third Eye Blind's earlier hits or someone who wants to find out what they're up to more recently, don't miss this limited run of shows. Not only will they be finishing 2018 strong, but their 2019 shows are also a special opportunity to hear the latest from Third Eye Blind before they disappear into the recording studio.
