Audiences know Tony Danza from his film and television performances in shows like "Who's The Boss," "Taxi" and "Family Law." But Danza is also a singer and dancer who has performed on the Broadway stage, and he's bringing his live show "Standards & Stories" to the popular New York venue 54 Below for a limited run starting Friday, Feb. 24.

"Standards & Stories" sold out in its initial New York run last year. It features Danza supported by a live band as he performs selections from the Great American Songbook as well as numbers from the Broadway musical "Honeymoon In Vegas," in which he starred back in 2013. In between the music Danza shares tales from his life and his long career in film, TV and on the stage. You can sample his singing and dancing talent by using the media player included with this article.

Danza's other theatre credits include the Broadway revival of Eugene O'Neill's "The Iceman Cometh" in which he shared the stage with Kevin Spacey and two different runs of "The Producers," first on Broadway and then at Paris Las Vegas. He released his one and so far only album, The House I Live In, in 2002. He may not be primarily known for his musical chops but he's actually got plenty of experience showing them off.

In this current live show, Danza is able to regale audiences in an intimate setting. 54 Below stands as one of New York City's well-known performance venues and it's not a massive stadium or standard concert space. It's meant for smaller audiences and for performances to be savored. Music fans who have yet to be exposed to the other side of Danza's talents will get to hear him up close and personal, and to enjoy the big personality of a showman who won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Male Performer in a New Television Series with just five episodes of "The Tony Danza Show."

Tony Danza's "Standards & Stories" runs at 54 Below on Feb. 24-25, March 17-18, March 31 and April 1 with all shows at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now ranging from $80 to $145, with some sections already sold out. You can purchase tickets here.
