There's still no word on when Tool will finally release a new album, but at least you can catch them live once again. Tool announced a string of North American dates for their summer tour. Shows kick off May 24 in Fairfax, VA and wrap up June 8 in Rosemont, IL. Check out the complete list of dates below.
Last week, the band teased fans with a post on Facebook hinting at more live shows. Previously, Tool announced appearances at Governor's Ball and Boston Calling Festival.
As for the new Tool album, the band assures fans it's in the work, but have revealed little else. News did get out that frontman Maynard James Keenan started vocal work for new music. Hopefully, fans will hear more about a new Tool album soon.
The band's last LP was 10,000 Days released in 2006.
Keenan's other musical project, A Perfect Circle, is set to perform this year. The group initially went on hiatus in 2004. Now, the band is expected to tour again this year and already have a gig lined up at the Hollywood Bowl for May. They also plan on making new music, which they haven't done since 2004's Emotive. The group will feature the same touring lineup of James Iha, Keenan, Billy Howerdel, Matt McJunkins and Jeff Friedi.
