Meg Remy aka U.S. Girls will head out on a North American headlining tour this fall, with 10 concert dates scheduled across Canada and the U.S. starting with her appearance at Up and Downtown Music Festival on Oct. 6. The month-long run will keep her visiting mostly major markets across Canada in addition to a few shows in the northeast U.S. before wrapping on Nov. 3 back in Ottawa, ON.

Last week’s announcement of her upcoming fall tour will follow Remy’s summer run, which saw the indie-pop artist performing across North America throughout July as the support act to Beth Ditto. Since starting to seriously write music and perform back in 2007 under the U.S. Girls moniker, Remy has since relocated to Toronto to set up headquarters, and has since released five full-length albums. Her latest LP arrived back in September 2015 with Half Free, which would go on to earn her a well-deserved Juno Award nomination for Alternative Album of the Year.

Other artists set to appear at Edmonton’s Up and Downtown Festival early next month include Diiv, Dan Deacon and veteran psych-rockabilly group Reverend Horton Heat.
