Sound Tribe Sector 9, aka STS9, is returning to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado for a special three-night engagement this summer. Shpongle, MIZE, Tycho, and Chrome Sparks will support them as special guests.

The Georgia-born Livetronica band will open the 2020 Sky World live series with a concert at Summit Music Hall on Thursday, July 23. They’ll follow up that event with back-to-back shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Friday, July 24 (Tickets) and Saturday, July 25 (Tickets).

Presales are currently underway for 3-day passes (Tickets), 2-day passes (Tickets), and individual shows. Tickets for all shows go on sale to the general public on Feb. 21. A limited number of Premium Ticket options will also be available to purchase.

STS9’s 2020 Sky World series is a continuation of the band’s acclaimed 2019 Push the Sky Event at Red Rocks. STS9 consists of members Hunter Brown, Alaina Rocklin, Jeffree Lerner, David Phipps, and Zach Velmer.

The instrumental band is known for pushing sonic boundaries in their compositions, blending elements of electronic and acoustic sounds, while also dabbling in funk, jazz, psychedelia and hip hop. They’ve played multiple sold-out shows at Red Rocks and other venues across the United States.

Over the course of 20 years and counting, STS9 has forged an indelible connection with fans in Denver. The band was notably inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and has headlined massive festivals around the country.

Brown talked about the group’s upcoming run at Red Rocks in a statement connected to the Sky World announcement. He said, “In 2019, we tapped into the epic nature of Red Rocks to help us Push the Sky — a call to come together to face the big challenges of our day and to simply keep pushing in our daily lives. This year we enter Sky World, that place where we revel in our connection with the stars and together manifest the world we want to make.”

The band is also treating fans to new remixes from their extensive catalog throughout 2020 under a special Visions Tapes series. So far, they have released a “Common Objects Strangely Placed” remix on Jan. 15, followed by an “Awesome” remix on Feb. 13.
