The dreamy-sounding indie rock outfit known as Vacationer have announced their upcoming summer plans in the form of a 28-date North American tour alongside Los Angeles rock duo Sego. The summer run is scheduled to begin on July 13 in the band’s hometown of Philadelphia, and continues over the next five weeks with a final show at Washington, D.C.’s U Street Music Hall on Aug. 17.
Throughout the month-long tour, the easy-going rock band will visit mostly major markets across the U.S. and Canada. A few highlight stops on the summer run include shows at New York City’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, Chicago’s Lincoln Hall, Los Angeles’ Teragram Ballroom and Atlanta’s Vinyl, just to name a few. The group’s last public gig took place in Philadelphia back in late January, and performances had been somewhat few and far in between prior to then, so fans will certainly be excited to see and hear the band back out on the road again in the coming months.
The tour’s announcement on Tuesday arrives just a few weeks following the release of “Being Here.” The arrival of the second single shared by the band so far in 2018 is helping them build up to the June 22 release of their third studio album, which will be titled Mindset when it drops via Downtown Records. The upcoming studio project will be the band’s first album since 2014’s Relief.
Tickets for select shows on the upcoming tour will be going on sale to the public starting this Friday, May 11, at 10 a.m. local time, and can be purchased by clicking here. Fans can also watch the 2015 live video of the band above to help shake off the cobwebs ahead of the tour.
