Last week, Veil of Maya announced their new studio album False Idol, which is set to be released worldwide on Oct. 20. Fans have been anticipating the release of new music, and today, they finally got their first shot with the song "Overthrow". The visual for the song was developed by the folks over at Silent Flight Productions, who have worked on videos for The Dear Hunter and The Contortionist.

Aside from the new song, pre-orders for the record are also live here. There are a handful of physical pre-order bundles available, including one with a limited edition custom dye windbreaker. Later this month, Veil of Maya will hit the road with The Devil Wears Prada, and they'll make their way to Philadelphia's Trocadero Theatre on Oct. 7, Norfolk's NorVa on Oct. 10, and The Plaza Live in Orlando on Oct. 13. Tickets are on sale to the general public right now.

False Idol is the follow up to their 2015 release Matriarch, which debuted at number two on the Hard Rock Albums chart and number five on the Top Rock Albums chart. The record also includes the track "Mikasa", which has received over 5 million plays on both Youtube and Spotify.
