On May 17, Disney and luxury vintage retailer, What Goes Around Comes Around, held an exclusive launch event hosted at the Beverly Hills retail hotspot, celebrating the upcoming release of “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.” Actress and music superstar, Victoria Justice, showed up to help kick off the film’s premiere week, rockin’ a vintage tee complete with skull and cross bones.
The party showcased a limited edition Pirates-inspired retro capsule collection, offered guests an array of Pirates-themed drinks and dishes, all while DJ/Producer Val Fleury spun select tunes. Each piece provided the perfect “Pirates” vibe for the evening.
On top of WGACA’ s co-founders Gerard Maione and Seth Weisser, notable attendees such as Victoria Justice and Canadian singer/songwriter Shawn Hook spent the night mingling with party-goers, celebrating the fifth installment of the franchise and the creativity that has cleverly crossed over into the fashion world. Other famous fans of WGACA include André 3000, Pharrell Williams and Lenny Kravitz.
In true spirit of the occasion, customized leather jackets are being auctioned off via CharityBuzz.com/pirates in support of the nonprofit, Heal the Bay. The auction ends May 31. You can catch Johnny Depp, who returns as Captain Jack Sparrow in “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales,” on May 26.
