VNV Nation haven't performed in North America for quite some time, and the German electronic outfit have a good reason. For several months, they have been working on a special string of shows to coincide with their 20 year anniversary.
This fall, the outfit will hit the road for Compendium Live, which will find the band performing three hours set each night. These performances will go through their entire discography, and you can expect a special guests and rarities thrown in. The tour will kick off on October 7 inside the Showbox in Seattle, Washington, and it will make its way to San Francisco, Calgary, Los Angeles, Denver, Dallas, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, and St. Petersburg before concluding with a stop inside New York City's Playstation Theater on October 29. To celebrate this special tour, VNV Nation will also release the Compendium boxset collections, which will feature material from the outfit's catalog. There will be different boxsets released with special extras. Information on this release will be revealed in the near future.
Last year, the outfit released Resonance: Music For Orchestra Vol. 1, which features orchestral versions of VNV Nation songs from the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg. Their last proper studio album was 2013's Transnational, which peaked at number 12 on the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and number 14 on the Top Heatseekers Albums chart. Both releases are out on Anachron Records and Metropolis Records.
