Volbeat set to headline Starland Ballroom

Starland Ballroom is set to play host to Volbeat on Tuesday, May 16. The Danish heavy metal outfit will be joined by special guest Iron Reagan.

Volbeat, which will serve as a supporting act on Metallica’s North American WorldWired Tour this summer, is currently on the road promoting sixth studio long-player, Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie. The album debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 following its June 2016 release via Vertigo, Republic and Universal Records. Five singles were released from Seal the Deal & Let’s Boogie: “The Devil’s Bleeding Crown,” “For Evigt,” “Seal the Deal,” “Let It Burn” and “Black Rose.”

Back in February, the four-piece celebrated the 10th anniversary of sophomore full-length, Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil, which is anchored by lead single, “The Garden’s Tale.”  Released in February 2007 via Mascot, the album hit No. 1 on the Danish Albums chart making it the band’s first release to top the charts.

Richmond Virginia’s Iron Reagan will serve as direct support. The crossover thrash five-piece, which features members of Municipal Waste, Cannabis Corpse, A.N.S. and Darkest House, released their third LP, Crossover Ministry, back in February via Relapse Records. The album, which landed at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Albums chart, spawned three singles: “A Dying World,” “Grim Business” and “Bleed the Fifth.”

The Tyranny of Will, Iron Reagan’s sophomore studio album, was released in September 2014 through the Relapse Records label. The album gave birth to the singles “Miserable Failure” and “Four More Years.”

The metal act released debut LP, Worse Than Dead, in March 2013 through A389 Recordings.
