Watch: Brian Johnson returns to the stage with Robert Plant and Paul Rodgers after hearing loss diagnosis

A little over a year ago, AC/DC singer Brian Johnson got some of the worst news a musician can get. A doctor told the singer that if he did not stop performing live he would go completely deaf. The diagnosis resulted in AC/DC postponing a number of their Rock or Bust tour dates and ultimately led to Axl Rose replacing Johnson for the makeup dates. As Rolling Stone pointed out, Johnson said that the day he received the diagnosis was “the darkest day of my professional life.”

Which is why it is so great to see the singer back on stage doing what he loves. Recently, Johnson joined Robert Plant and Bad Company lead singer Paul Rodgers at Rodgers’ concert in the U.K. The three legendary frontmen sang the 1959 Motown classic “Money (That’s What I Want),” with each singer taking a verse. Johnson saw an in-ear specialist last June, which could have contributed to his triumphant return to the stage. You can check out the video of Johnson, Plant and Rodgers singing “Money” above.
