Demi Lovato dropped by BBC’s Live Lounge on Nov. 13 and delivered a stunning cover of Sam Smith’s wistful ballad, “Too Good at Goodbyes.” Lovato’s amazing, signature vocals soared as she dug into the heartache at the core of the song. It was flawless.
The “Tell Me You Love Me” singer’s soulful take on Smith’s UK Singles chart-topping track was brimming with emotion and caught his attention. He gave her a sweet shout-out on Twitter, which sparked a totally fun, circle of social media love between the pair of superstars.
Smith and Lovato both share a rich, soulful expressiveness in their vocals. They both also pack raw power and emotion into their performances. The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer interpreted “Too Good at Goodbyes” in a very natural, organic way. Who else would love to see these two team up for a collaboration?
