If you thought Ed Sheeran couldn't get any more adorable, you were wrong. Sheeran's collaborator Jess Glynne has posted an acoustic version of their song "Thursday" and it might be the most endearing music video ever. Watch it by playing the video above, before getting your tickets to see both Ed Sheeran and Jess Glynne live through AXS.
The original version of "Thursday" appears on Glynne's current album Always In Between, which she released in October. It's the record's current single, and she's made the rounds promoting it, including a performance on MTV's "Total Request Live" earlier this week. But this acoustic video may do more to make the song a hit than anything else, because of how honest and charming it is.
Glynne co-wrote "Thursday" with Sheeran, and the video not only features a stripped-down version of the song but the two of them at their most casual. The video features Glynne and Sheeran walking around backstage at a concert venue before they pull up some gearboxes and perform the song to an invisible audience. It's as simple as a music video can get, and that's what makes it so special. Plus, with absolutely no distractions, it makes "Thursday" sound even more poignant.
Both artists have plenty of concerts ahead of them. Sheeran is finishing his 2018 U.S. tour with performances at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas (Nov. 3), Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida (Nov. 7) and Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia (Nov. 10) before embarking on a European tour in 2019. Tickets to his remaining U.S. shows and select European dates are on sale through AXS here.
Conversely, Glynne has several more European tour dates lined up before she starts her U.S. tour in March 2019. She'll visit The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco, California (March 25), Terminal 5 in New York City, New York (April 5) and Union Transfer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (April 19). Tickets to both her European and U.S. concerts are also on sale now through AXS here.
"Thursday" will almost certainly be on her setlist, but it has never sounded better than this.
