Watch: Father John Misty delivers spot on performance of 'Mr. Tillman' on 'The Tonight Show'

After releasing a surreal video for the lead single from his upcoming album, God’s Favorite Customer, Father John Misty--otherwise known as Josh Tillman--stopped by 30 Rock to perform that lead single on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Surrounded by an armada of keyboards and half a dozen backup singers, FJM delivered a spot on live performance of “Mr. Tillman.” Misty caps it all off with a great whistle solo. You can watch FJM’s appearance on “The Tonight Show” above.

God’s Favorite Customer is set for release on June 1 via Sub Pop Records. Besides “Mr. Tillman,” Father John Misty has also shared the God’s Favorite Customer tracks “Just Dumb Enough to Try” and “Disappointing Diamonds Are the Rarest of Them All.” You can listen to both tracks by following this link.

Father John Misty is performing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Aug. 15. You can find tickets by clicking here. Tillman is touring in support of God’s Favorite Customer this summer and fall. Click here to browse AXS for select Father John Misty tickets.
