Watch: Franz Ferdinand's trippy new video for 'Always Ascending'
Franz Ferdinand via Youtube

Franz Ferdinand gets trippy in their new video "Always Ascending." Directed by AB/CD/CD, the clip features the frontman Kapranos performing the song in front of several striking visual backgrounds. As the music intensifies, the visuals get more abstract and out of this world. Check out the video below.

Speaking about the video in a press release, Kapranos said: "We're happy to now be Always Ascending on the screen, with ABCDCD capturing the mood of the song and likenesses of the band in perfect detail. This is pretty much a typical Sunday afternoon round at Franz Ferdinand's flat."

The song is taken from their upcoming album of the same name, which drops Feb. 9 via Domino Records. The album is available for pre-order now and is available digitally, on CD, vinyl, and a limited edition cassette via DomMart. There's also a special DomMart edition featuring marbled blue and white vinyl with a signed print and tote bag.
