“The Voice” was the only show that was in a festive mode of late. “The Late Late Show with James Corden” wasn’t about to be left out of the feel-good moments of the holiday season.
Corden’s musical guest during the Dec. 18 episode was Gwen Stefani, who came to the “Late Late Show” stage armed with a performance that would make anyone believe that Christmas has, indeed, come early. Stefani performed “You Make It Feel Like Christmas,” which she recorded last year as a holiday duet with her husband, country superstar Blake Shelton, for the Christmas album of the same name.
The single became a holiday hit on the Billboard charts last year, and the song has now become a staple on holiday playlists all over. For the live performance on “Corden,” Stefani went solo (her husband was doing the season finale of “The Voice"), and, even without Shelton, Stefani brought the house down, and it gave the “Corden” set a festive, yule-time feel that is sorely needed right now.
As for the album, according to Rolling Stone, there is a deluxe edition of You Make It Feel Like Christmas that has two new songs for fans to enjoy. Go check it out, but first, check out Stefani’s “Corden” performance above.
