Jimmy Fallon is the reigning king of rock star impersonations and on Monday’s “Tonight Show” (Dec. 4) Fallon dusted off a classic, The Boss himself, Bruce Springsteen. Of course, Fallon as The Boss performed Springsteen’s rockin’ rendition of the holiday classic “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” but with a topical twist.
Instead of Santa coming to town, Fallon/Springsteen sang of Robert Mueller--the former FBI director now leading the investigation into collusion between the Trump administration and Russia--coming to town. As you can imagine, political comedy gold ensued. You can check out the video above.
As Pitchfork pointed out, Fallon has performed Springsteen with Springsteen in the past. A few years back, the late-night host and rock star took on New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie’s “Bridgegate” scandal. You can watch it below. Jimmy also does a pretty spot on Neil Young with Neil Young, check out “Two Neil Youngs on a Tree Stump.”
