The Jonas Brothers’ week-long #LateLateJonas residency on “The Late Late Show” ended last night (March 7). In their final show, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Kevin Jonas joined Emmy-winning host James Corden for a revealing round of “Carpool Karaoke,” which included the brothers taking a lie detector test at Corden’s request.
Corden had already put the brothers through their paces during a hilarious game of Spill Your Guts or Fill Your Guts. Many of the questions were geared to play them against each other.
In this round of Carpool, Corden attempted to get everything out on the table again. So, he picked up a “friend” who administered lie detector tests to each of them while Corden fired off some more awkward questions.
For instance, Joe was asked “Which brother gets on your nerves the most?” He named Kevin and his answer registered as being true.
When Nick was in the hot seat, Corden asked if there was ever a point in his many weddings (to Priyanka Chopra) that he thought, “I’m done with these weddings.” The “Year 3000” responded with a truthful “Yes,” then he laughed and said, “It was when I looked at the bills.”
An awkwardly funny moment ensued when Nick was asked, “Are you a better singer than your brothers?” and his “no” answer was deemed a lie.
Singing a list of hits is always a focal point of the beloved “Carpool” segment and the Jonas Brothers and Corden rocked several of theirs including “Burnin’ Up,” “Lovebug,” “Year 3000,” “When You Look Me in the Eyes” and their new single “Sucker.”
Corden also grabbed the opportunity to talk about the brothers’ heavily-discussed purity rings when they were younger. They explained the rings were a symbol of their faith as they grew up in church as sons of a pastor. At a point in time, they just decided to stop wearing them.
The Jonas Brothers joined an elite group of music artists who have graciously helped James Corden get to work including Elton John, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Cardi B and more. Watch the entire Carpool Karaoke segment above.
Fans remain excited the Jonas Brothers are back together. They also performed “Sucker” for the first time on television on “The Late Late Show.” (Watch their performance below).
A potential new Jonas Brothers album and its release date is still TBD.
