Kacey Musgraves continues her media blitz this week with a performance of her new single "Dime Store Cowgirl" on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The song is lifted from her acclaimed sophomore LP Pageant Material. and featured a countrypolitan approach to the 2015 mainstream circuit. Akin to work by Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton and John Prine, Musgraves' message is loud and clear: she's here to stay and won't comprise her music in order to be heard.

For Female, it is reigning champ Miranda Lambert's to lose; the category also includes Carrie Underwood, newcomer Kelsea Ballerini (who notched her first-ever No. 1 hit with her "Love Me Like You Mean It" debut), Lee Ann Womack.
