Watch: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard share zaney video for 'Cyboogie'

It was a bit strange to make it all the way through 2018 without any new music from one of psychedelic rock’s most prolific bands. Granted, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard did release a whopping five albums in 2017 and reissued their first five albums in 2018. But we’ve come to expect a lot from the Australian septet. It makes it all the more sweet that the band just shared their first new music since 2017 as well as a characteristically kooky video.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s “Cyboogie” takes you on a spooky, synth soaked romp through the circuitry of your mind. Believe us, your synapses will crackle and pop. The song and video--directed by longtime King Gizzard art collaborator Jason Galea--seems to be poking a little fun but also paying homage to the videos of 80s prog-rock bands, namely Styx’s videos for “Too Much Time on My Hands” and "Mr. Roboto." You can watch King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard’s video for “Cyboogie” above.
