Watch: King of Country George Strait transforms into pumpkin to celebrate Halloween

For the fourth year in a row, AXS has transformed a pumpkin into a life-like sculpture of a music icon. For 2019, it’s George Strait’s turn. Soundtracked to Strait’s hit singles “We Really Shouldn’t Be Doing This” and “Write This Down,” the life-like carving captures Strait’s unmistakable rabble-rousing spirit, decking the pumpkin with the singer’s trademark Stetson and winning cowboy smile.

AXS and pumpkin carver Jon Neill created the pumpkin carving to celebrate Strait’s upcoming engagements at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The King of Country will roll through Vegas on Dec. 6 and 7 with Ashley McBryde before returning early 2020 for another pair of dates on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
